Veteran's Day thoughts

The future leaders of America will have served in the military and will have a better understanding of war, what is wrought by it and will be better guided by their military service. They, unlike so many in Government these days who have NO idea of what it means to be in the military, will understand what sacrifice is and uphold the ideals of the United States and hopefully will bring us back to being respected.  Hopefully it won't be too late. Let us on this Veteran's day reflect back on our short history and realize the direction we are taking.  As Teddy Roosevelt said 'speak softly and carry a big stick'. We don't have to be ashamed of being a great nation.  Will we continue to be?
