Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Professionals

I watched the recent podcast regarding short sales and here are 5 tips that were shared:

  1. Reach out to homeowners and be their advocate.
  2. Find a HUD approved credit counseling agency to refer to; 1-800-HopeNow
  3. Buyer's Agents - Read short sale listings carefully!
  4. Buyer's Agents - Educate consumers on the length of time that short sales take!
  5. Listing agents - Find out if the loan is recourse or non-recourse

6. Prepare sellers with what information will be needed to submit with the offer so the bank can make a decision. When the offer comes, the seller only has to update their already gathered information which speeds the process up.
