It seems headline after headline keep talking about children being abducted or attempted abductions... As a parent of a six year old daughter, I can't even begin to think of it happening to me or anyone in my family. The attached link is a segment from Dr. Phil that outlines what EVERY parent should be teaching their children, just in case....

Carol, This definitely should be taught to children. It looks like a great technique. I've taught classes to REALTORS on safety and basic self defense and this would also be a great technique for adults. You should be practicing right along with your 6 year old.

children's safety, our safety as realtors...it's all a priority! Most think that it won't happen to us, but I've seen it happen to people very close to me. We all need to raise our awareness. It is too bad how the world has changed compared to when we were growing up....I remember worrying about finishing my vegetables...
