Client Appreciation Parties

One of the best ways to spend your marketing dollars is through client appreciation parties.

I try to have one twice a year.  They don't need to be too fancy or even anywhere special (I hold mine at my condo in Lincoln Park).  Don't skimp on the food or booze but other than that they really don't cost that much to put on ($1000 tops).

Putting in the face time is great and usually leads to a few referrals when all is said and done.  Also it gives you a valid reason to give pasts clients who you havent spoken to in a while a phone call.

John,

I would love to do this but my clients are scattered all across the state.  Plus, I am new and I have only maybe like 50 clients at most in the 1.5 years I have been a loan officer on my own and the first 2.5 years don't really count because I was a junior rep.

The top mortgage guy in our state actually lives in my town and he throws these ridiculous parties where I am sure he spends like $20,000 or so on!  Big time parties at his mansion home.  Would love to reach that mark one day but if I don't, I am okay with it.  I love to party and I love to have a good time.
