Homeowners who have to sell in todays market, need to trust their realtor when it comes to setting an asking price. Realtors have all of the information to help sellers put their home on the market at the best price right from the beginning.  Homes that are first listed at too high of a price will get stagnant on the market until a price reduction is made.  By listing your home at too high of a price and then having a price reduction creates a stale listing that many people will think has something wrong with it.  That is why it is important to trust your realtor with all of the updated market information in order to list a home at the right price, right away.

Especially if you can provide them with the comps in writing as proof of market value.
