Christmas in just two weeks!

It's time for our annual Christmas Party, just two weeks and a couple of days away!

Each year I struggle with ideas to make the party new and exciting and lots of fun for our agents.

We always have an annual silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Children's Miracle Network (last year we raised over $5000 just from our Christmas Party). I think this year will even be better, we always allow the agents to pay for the items from their first closings after the new year since the funds are sent to CMN for the following year. It's a great way to holiday shop and help CMN at the same time and not have to pay during a slower time of the real estate season.

I'm looking for a few fresh ideas to add to the party this year, anyone out there have any fun and exciting ideas for a Christmas Party? I mentioned each office creating a skit based around the Real Estate year of 2009, I think it may have back fired because now one office is talking about "reenacting me"! They seem to be into that, but I'm a bit nervous :) Help...need your input!

I am also looking for new ideas for a party, so I'm hanging out here to pick up a few ideas!!!

I did get a call from a company that wanted to come in and do team building by dividing into groups and assembling bikes (supervised, I might add, to assure safety standards were met). Ending with the winning team riding the bike down an obstacle course to the finish line. Bikes were then donated to charities. Sounded like a great idea, except the cost per person could have purchased 4 bikes instead of just 1. Somehow that took the spirit out of the idea for me.

Hi Ruth, that sounds like fun, and yes the cost is always a factor to consider! Last year we added a little spice with drawing names of each agent to be an "auctioneer" and added some oral auction items, then everyone voted on the best auctioneer. It really was a riot! The winner won a Hot Air Balloon Ride.
