What happened to our traditional Indian Summer in Colorado.
I just came in from another afternoon of snow blowing, It is not that I mind the little bit of exercise, God knows I could use that, it is just that I miss the Fall weather; the crisp morning air, the deep blue sky, the smell of a fireplace drifting through the neighborhood.
I believe that this is the 6th time I have had the snow blower out this season already. That is unusual so early on. I can remember years that I didn't do this 4 times all season.
Like Grandma said, though, we need the moisture. And, of course, Grandma is right. Here in Colorado we are not known for an over abundance of water. The groundwater aquifers have not kept pace with the blazing growth we have experienced over the last thirty or forty years. Not to mention the States that rely on the Colorado River for much of their water supply. So, with this in mind, I will just keep hoping for more moisture which we need for the good of so many.
I wonder if my wife would like to learn how to operate the snow blower? Honey, can you come here a minute...?
When you are done I'll fix some hot chocolate for you. Can I get your slippers and that fuzzy blanket for you?
