Today is the day!

Virtual REbarcamp has arrived.  If you're not even sure what REbarcamp is all about, I suggest you read Mike Mueller's post, "What the heck is an RE Beer Camp?" to get an idea of what's about to happen.  This REbarcamp is a little bit different though.  Instead of having to travel miles to the location, the location is anywhere you want it to be.  It's, dare I say...virtual.

At 9AM Pacific Standard Time, the first ever Virtual REbarcamp will kick off with Jim Cronin's (RealEstateTomato) welcome and then the learning begins.  With sessions ranging from "The Real Estate Office Of The Future" to "YouTube For Real Estate" to "LinkedIn - The Red Headed Step Child Of Social Media"  to "Mortgage Blogging Success" - there is a topic for just about everyone.  You can check the Virtual REbarcamp schedule to see what interests you.  Registration is FREE.

I'll be attending today and look forward to seeing a) how the overall experience is, b) what I can learn, c) how this virtual experiment goes, and d) prepare myself for future REbarcamps (I'd like to do some presentations in the future to share some of the things I've learned).

What are you waiting for?  Come and join in on the first ever Virtual REbarcamp!

I don't think they'll care. Have fun at the barcamp. I can't make it.

Should be interesting Matt. I love REBar Camps but a big part of them for me is the face-to-face. However, I can ALWAYS learn more!

I agree with Susie.  I won't be attending, I like face to face networking.  It is not just the lessons, it is teh personal contacts and friendships made.

Matt,

I so enjoyed REBar Camp today and hated to miss the last 3 hours.  I can see why REBar Camps are so popular and hope to be holdin on in MO in 2010.

Sounds interesting, however as a home inspector I'm leaving to go out in the field  to do a home inspections with my client being present and the realtor. Sounds like an intereting concept.

A virtual ReBar camp is a great idea. Not all Realtors have the time to drive to a more metro. or central location to attend these amazing events. I was unable to attend but know I missed a good time.

I was completely swamped and missed the event but someone there wrote a post and included one of my Localism posts as an example of how to blog. I wish I could just do it more often...Ok enough whining, at least I am busy!

I left a few comments on AG but trust me, I'm biting my tongue! Great recap and it makes me want to find another live REBar Camp to attend next week. You're terrific Matt. Thank you.
