I just wanted to say to all the agents out there who are thinking about using a lead generation company, please save your money. If they were great leads they would keep them, you may get a hit once in a blue moon, but for the most part it is the company that is making money, not you. You would be much better off here, talking with agents from all over the country, and putting in the time and effort it takes to build a client base. Just my opnion.

I agree Lynne, it's a little tougher to get your own leads through various avenues, but then again it's more rewarding to capture those leads as well!

Well before you completely dismiss lead generators, please remember that everyone has different methods of how they determine success in marketing. These lead generation companies know that every lead they sell isn't going to pan out. However, if 1 out of 10 or 20 or 50 work then maybe they are doing a good job. It's all about ROI and cost per customer acquisition, and that is determined by the agent. If 1 out of 50 or 100 works for me, then a lead generator for me is a success. If it takes 1 out of 5 or 10 to to work for you, then lead generators are probably not the answer.

I am not in disagreement. I too, once received leads from a lead generator and now don't because of the lack of response. I just wanted to show that there could be two sides to the coin.

Listening to your Needs

I like the idea of getting my own leads. its hard work but it does pay off. The leads are much better. There are some lead generators but they are not good in all markets. Wonder why they always call you for this great opportunity???
