Woodinville Real Estate Fall Colors.
One reality that continues to amaze me, as I work in real estate in the Woodinville area, is the lack of awareness of fall colors around Puget Sound. A number of friends have expressed disbelief that we have a colorful season. A foreign architect working on one of my real estate projects, insisted that the pictures he had seen of fall in Washington State must have been photo-shopped or otherwise faked. Perhaps this lack of knowledge is due to the typical focus on our dominant evergreen woodland, leading to an inability to see the trees for the forest.
Whatever the reason, the distinct seasons are a rich part of the Pacific Northwest's vibrant beauty, and fall is a favorite of mine that makes living here very rewarding. So before it's officially over, I'd like to take a look at what was a particularly vibrant season of color this year. Starting out in my home town of Woodinville, we'll gas up for the trip at a Shell station definitely color coordinated for the season. The trees next to the station look like flaming torches decorated by the same crew that painted the station.
Once we hit the road . . .we see the warm tones of Fall everywhere. All along the roadways and beyond we find treats for the eyes . . .
from vibrant reds and luminous oranges to violet and yellow in many hues, tones and saturations. The glow of the sun filtering through the leaves and setting off a variety of colors is spectacular. Yellow and orange against a blue sky is a wonderful combination
Early in the season the colors begin to reflect in our many lakes . . .
Woodinville is well known for balloons floating overhead . . .bringing color down from the sky. These sightseers almost landed in our backyard around dinner time . . .
to join another colorful flying life form landing on our flowers . . .
My buddy Ziggy enjoys playing in the leaves after they hit the ground . . .almost as much as plowing through the snow just around the corner.
Mary always brings the color indoors . . .arranging the collected varieties on a countertop in our family room.
For me, as an artist as well as a Realtor, the season inspired two new paintings for an art collecting client I had the pleasure of serving by listing and selling his 18 acre sanctuary in Woodinville this year.
The real estate was a wonderful collection of scenic "rooms". . .from the reflection lake he nurtured . . .
to his world famous Zen Garden with a touch of Fall color:
Photos of these two paintings can be seen at my art site.
Fall is a great season to visit the Puget Sound area. But, even better than visiting, buy some real estate and settle in for a great show of the seasons with a palette of wondrous colors.
