Real Estate Agent with Spring Creek Ranch Realty

I do not consider myself as technologically inept, but I have been struggling over the last couple of days to make a facebook page for Spring Creek Ranch Realty.  I think that I have finally figured it out.  Being a new real estate agent, I have begun educating myself on the ins and outs of blogging, facebook, widgets(whatever those are), and many other things.  The one thing that dissapoints me is that we, as a society, depend so much on these social networks that we don't get the face to face time that I think there used to be with clientelle.  Don't get me wrong, facebook and blogging are great ways to get your name and company out to potential clients.  People that are interested in real estate have probably already viewed the MLS, seen virtual tours, and who knows what else.  I would prefer to build a personal relationship through face to face counseling, but I guess I have to get with "facebook times" that we live in.

That being said, please check out Spring Creek Ranch Realty's new facebook page and become a fan.

Kent, you're braver than I!  I've been contemplating doing this for a while but haven't taken the plunge yet.

It's not that bad once you get started.  Posting my blogs to facebook has finally started taking hold.  I've probably written 70 plus.  The facebook messages are starting to pile up.

The nice thing about fan pages is that they come up in Google searches.  Personal pages do not, atleast to my knowledge.  Now if you don't have twitter link your facebook page to twitter.

If you search "take the pennies from your pocket and fill you mind and your mind will fill your pocket" you'll get a facebook fan page.  Pretty interesting that it ranked the highest for a famous quote.

Thanks David...The thing I'm struggling with at the momebt is making my fan button look like a fan button like it is supposed to instead of a huge link.  Appreciate the feedback.

Although I'm new, I think FB is/will be an excellent marketing tool! Getting the "hang" of things is definitely challenging, but once you do get it, things will be easy peasy from there!
