what does house and cake have in common?

Hello everyone

Everyone loves and wants  a piece of fresh, nicely decorated cake from a bakery or a restaurant.

Sometimes you see a cake that has been sitting around and then marked down and has a sticker that says

" Reduced for a quick sale ".

I would rather eat my cake when it is freshly made.

Same thing can be applied to the housing market; if your house is staged nicely it is going to show very well on internet as well as in real life.  So naturally it is going to create a lot of interest from prospective buyers, just like a fresh cake would.

New listings generally create lot more activity in first few days of being on the market.  If you are not catching on that interest you are losing your chances of selling it fast.  Then it gets old and then it has to be "reduced for a quick sale".

Every house needs staging right from the beginning, there is no point in waiting and reducing the price and waiting again and then staging, First impression is what counts.

So don't wait have your cake and eat it too ! Do it right the first time, stage it before it even comes on the market, and sell it faster.

It's a piece of cake !

'Reduced for quick sale' - how true! This cake may have been priced too high when it was first put in the display case and now the baker will lose money on this cake because she though it might bring in more than it was actually worth.

And what about the analogy of staging being the ICING on that cake?  Think about it ~ is a plain, two layer cake very interesting if it doesn't have icing???

So better to finish the cake and present it  looking delicious and completed -RIGHT FROM THE GET GO~

Thanks for the post,

Mel

Peggy - you are right, baker should have thought about it early !!

Mel - oh yes icing is the best part of the cake, it would not be any good without it. no staging no sale !!

Thanks guys for stopping  by .
