Something you don't see everyday in Austin; a dinosaur skeleton on the street.

OK maybe this qualifies for a Freaky Friday post. While in the car on 4th Street in Austin I saw a dinosaur skeleton on wheels being propelled down the street by a five guys on bikes inside the skeleton. If you look closely you can just make them out inside the ribcage.  You had to see it to believe it. Regrettably I was not faster with the camera, so it does not show the entire skeleton. There are several art studios in the area and I can only assume it must be a work in progress.

Wow! I can't believe that. Is that a real skeleton. I don't know how I would react to seeing that heading down on of my streets! Thanks for the photo and happy Friday.

I hope you'll remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

Dear Betty & John,

I have to agree. This is the strangest thing I have seen on the road in a LONG time.

Dear Michael,

I am sure it must be a created skeleton. I could not imagine a museum would allow something like that to be modified in such a fashion.

Definitely not something you see every day!

I'm curious if there is some sort of exhibit at one of the museums or if this was just a bunch of kids working on a school project.

In either case it's very cool!

Dear Craig,

I am sure it is an "Art in the street" project or maybe they plan to drive it in the "Art Car Parade" in Houston next April. The kids appeared to be in their mid 20's so I doubt it is a school project.  It was very surprising to see on the road.

;)

Dear William,

The old Austin motto is "Keep it Weird" apparently some take it more seriously than others! LOL  This is NOT your typical Austin vehicle. It definitely makes you look twice for sure!

:)

Dear Carole,

You are so right. As a Realtor I try to keep it handy for shooting homes or subjects for localisim blogs. My new "My Touch" Google phone makes taking photos a snap! Nothing gets past me now!
