School Overrides in AZ!

The November election day just passed and many of the school districts that were going after overrides were unsuccessful.  This hits close to home as my wife is a special education teacher and her district is currently proposing an override for the March 2010 ballot.  The big question with overrides is, "What will the extra money go towards?"  That is a very logical question considering it's the homeowner's money and they have every right to know where it's going.  Unfortunately, it's not always clear.  Perhaps that's the reason why so many districts were disappointed with the last election...
