Blog on your website?

By
Real Estate Agent with @Home Realty Lakeshore

How do you maximize your blog on your personal website to get better SEO rankings?  I Do not currently have a blog on my website, but my next custom website will have one.  Are there certain things you should write about to make the blog more valuable, or is it just the fact that you keep fresh content on your website that is so important?

I'm no expert (compared to all of them you can find on AR), but as I know it all the same rules apply. You especially need to write about something that matters to the people you want to read it. Who's your audience is a good question to ask first. Just my two cents worth. : )

I agree with MLM. Write content that is interesting to your readers and they will return. Remember not to have reciprical links because they will hurt you. You can rewrite what you have written here on AR, but give yourself some time to make it fresh so you won't have any duplicate content. All of this is very worthwhile.

You will have to keep updating and posting with no readers for a few months... Go out to other blog sites to leave comments, do all the SEO stuff.. Give it 6 months, you will see results.. Also keep your posts within a niche with a lot of same keywords.. it raises your ranking with Google... so you get more search hits...

I had a blog for fun for 2 years, took me a year and grew to 1200 visitors a day.. pretty fun!

Luke,

You don't have to have a web site with built in blog. You can rss feed your AR blog right into your site. See my AR blog on my site at www.geneward.com
