Procrastination Strikes Again!

I have been procrastinating. I need to redo my AR profile and FB business page.

I desperately need to back up my laptop. And the screen is about to GO. I know that the only outcome to this path is a bad one unless I step up and do something. OK...must now add this to my to do list so I don't end up hating myself later. I really appreciate this post, and I know others need a reminder as well. Especially as holidays approach it gets even harder to just maintain the necesseties.

Procrastination is a way to find out which things we don't like to do!

I haven't bought my turkey for Thanksgiving yet.  How's that for procrastination!   Does that say anything about what I really want to do on Thursday?

I'm putting off the things on my "to do" list by playing around in the Rain here!  Guess I better get to work. It's still only Tuesday.

this is something I battle with everyday ,,, I cannot seem to find the cure .. ;-)

I am in the club just like everyone else is.  My list is too long to even think about.  I try to organize my in box at least weekly and move important emails to their folders and delete all the junk.  I usually do this when I am watching TV, which is rare.

Backing up to a virtual site would be the best.  Heaven forbid you do an external backup and something tragic happens to your office.  It's best if it is off the premises.

All I want for Christmas is time management!

Marte- because procrastination is my middle name (unless I really want to do something!), I use Carbonite to automatically back everything up; love post-it notes to make daily lists and am never caught up.  I am nothing if not a list maker!

If you backup to an online backup service, you should ensure that you backup to multiple companies since any of them could go out of business and you won't have any backups in such a situation. 

Marte, I think everyone has something that needs being done. Some of us are worse than others. It needs working on every day.

Use G Mail all your emails are saved on their servers not your computer. You can create files for every Transaction on their system. I save nothing to my computer any more everything is saved on some web site somewhere. All my contracts are written using the real fast on line system, all photos are saved at Photoworks.com why would you save any thing on your computer?

I like the prioritizing aspect of our business...if you don't you will find that the critical stuff falls through the cracks...generally the critical stuff is what we don't want to do...so like they say...it's like eating a frog, if that is the worst thing you have to do all day, your day can only get better from there!

I need to do the same thing.  I finally lost my old computer and I am so grateful that I backed up everything.  It's made it a much smoother transition to a new computer!

Good advice on something that affects about everybody sooner or later. that backup thing never seems important until it is too late. I have heard that Carbonite is a great inexpensive service for unlimited b ackup.
