Wow, David - where did you find my favorite quote by Cicero? When I studied Roman philosophy back in 80-s at Moscow State University, I was writing few papers on Cicero's Tusculan Disputations. Back then this quote also sounded very timely.
History repeats itself and people do not really learn a lot from the past. What left is to be thankful for everything we have. Happy Thanksgiving!
