Around the holidays I typically send an email out to the Mid-Atlantic Settlement Services team to thank them for all they do to make me look good. For the real estate agents reading this, you are the beginning, middle and end of your success. You handle every facet of your business from making the soup to tightening the nuts. I have the luxury of having a team of dedicated employees who are the best at what they do to do the heavy lifting for me. For that, I am very thankful. Instead of just emailing the team, I thought I'd share it with those who read me on ActiveRain.
To my Leadership Team, "Thank you!" These are the folks who bear the brunt of my insatiable desire to operate as a perfect company. No mistakes, a million closings a month, the best customer service...yeah, there's no app for that, but my leadership team is helping me create one. Thank you for continuing to improve day-by-day, month-by-month, and year-by-year!
To my Sales and Closing Team, "Thank you!" These are the people who are incessantly asked to turn over every stone in the middle of December (when some of the stones are iced over) to find more business. These are the people who are face-to-face and belly-to-belly with the agents, buyers and loan officers who work with us. They are the best I have ever worked with!
To my Processing and Post-Closing Teams, "Thank you!" For those who have never "processed" a title file, you have no idea how out-dated the term "processing" is. We call them Settlement Coordinators, because they are the quarterbacks who run the play. This business hasn't gotten any easier, and without this crew, we wouldn't be nearly as successful as we are. Likewise, our post-closers continue to deal with more requirements and shorter turnaround times, but still get the job done.
To my Title Review Team, "Thank you!" Surveys and Liens and Judgments, oh my! My Title Team has collectively forgotten more about title than most attorneys have learned in their careers. Instead of just identifying roadblocks to closing, they propose solutions to get us there. These guys define "team work!"
To my Administrative Team, "Thank you!" From our Front Desk team who handle a bazillion phone calls and greet customers in the lobby to the accounting people who act as air-traffic control for wires, I am thankful to know that our customers will be greeted warmly AND that their closing funds are closely monitored.
