Some of the most simple things can be overlooked. I evaluate my client's websites and constantly find easy things for them to do to increase their visibility online, and gain credibility online.
I love activerain for this reason. Activerain gets great Google search results for people's names and their business name searches. It's great for your activerain profile to be found so people can read about you and read your blog, but where from there? They could fill out a form to contact you which can be intimidating, or they can click on your website link to go to your website and learn more about you.
My clients are mortgage professionals, so their website has info about them, homebuying, refinancing, calculators to play with, online loan apps and forms, and online chat. Directing visitors from your activerain to your website gets your visitors to feel like they've done their due diligence in "researching" you. They also have multiple ways to find you online, your website and your activerain profile.
Once your visitors are in your site they can become your client by calling/emailing you chatting online with you, or completing your online loan application.
Remember to add your activerain banner to your website as well. If someone finds your website they can research you and see that you are on activerain too. They'll visit your activerain profile and blog, feel they've done their due diligence, and go back to your website to learn more and act ~
The goal with activerain, Facebook, linkedin, twitter etc. is for visitors to ACT. Have a great website that allows them to do so and become your client.
To add the activerain banner to your website:My Profile > Link to Activerain > copy the HTML code on the top choice because this one is branded directly to your profile > paste the code into your website administration area or send it to your website person to add for you.
To add your website link to your activerain profile: My Profile > edit > add your website URL and save!
Social networking always needs a credible website to direct people to to get them to ACT!
