Great Wine Tasting in Santa Monica

Pourtal Wine BarIf you enjoy wine tasting this could be your spot.  It is a great way to spend some time with a large group, socialize, and hopefully find a great new wine.

The thing I love most about the concept is that you get to chose the wine you wish to taste, tsay with a region, or grape type, pick your favorite and then buy a glass or a bottle.

It is located on Santa Monica very near Ocean Avenue and close to my personal favorite Oyster bar, Ocean avenue Seafood.  Enjoy

Here is their web site link for more info.

Hmmm, I don't know Scott, out here in Temecula, we have so many great wineries, and although you are at the beach I ditched most of the 12th grade for, (Santa Monica), I gotta think I don't have to drive so far for the grape.  Sounds like a great place though.  Down in San Diego, they actually have quite a few "wine bars" which are pretty cool also.

Scott,

Thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely try both of your favorite places next time I'm in Santa Monica.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Temecula is a great place for wine and I have enjoyed many trips there myself.  Nothing like visiting the place where the wine is actually grown and possibly get the chance to meet with the owner.  Not a bad beach substitute though

Thanks for the comment.  I think it would be a great spot for a real estate mixer.  Maybe we can plan something after the new year.....schedules are always crazy between now and then
