Friday, November 27-Sunday, November 29. Gem and Mineral Show. The Columbia Gem and Mineral Society presents its annual show in its new location at the State Museum, featuring 26 retail vendors. Jewelry, beads, loose stones, fossils, minerals, gold, silver and tools will be offered for sale. Admission is $7.00 for adults, Military $6.00, Seniors (62 and older) $5.00, and children twelve and under are free. Admission to the Gem Show includes admission to the SC State Museum. Saturday, November 28. Train Rides with Santa! Come ride on a real passenger train, visit a red caboose or an authentic dining car, or even a Pullman car that once ferried earlier generations across the country...all with Santa on board! Train departure times are at 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm. Visit the SC Railroad Museum for more information.

Beginning Thursday, December 3. Midlands Clay Arts Society Annual Show and Sale. This annual event will showcase hand-crafted pottery, tile, sculpture, and other ceramic work!  For the First Time Ever in Columbia | Radio City Christmas Spectacular | The Rockettes | December 6th at 4 & 7 pm at the Colonial Life Arena.

Thursday, December 3. Mingle & Jingle on Main. A Holiday evening of art, entertainment and shopping!The holiday event will include various visual and performing artists including Carolers, Sonny D and friends with the Palmetto Swing Dancers, Artist Jean Bourque, Virginia Scotchies ceramic sculptures, Howard Hunt and the Village Artists, projected seasonal images on some of the buildings, guided tours of the future home of the Nickelodeon Theatre, a wine tasting at the White Mule and much more! Several of the downtown retailers and restaurants will stay open late for the event including Gotham Bagel, the White Mule, the Nickelodeon Theatre, the Columbia Museum of Art-Museum Shop, Villa Tronco, the Sheraton Downtown Columbia Hotel, The Whig and Free Times. 1500 block of Main Street, 6-9 pm. Five Points Festivue | December 4th & 5th!

Thursday, December 3. 6th Annual Sweet Seasons. Forest Acres' signature sixth annual holiday event, Sweet Seasons, will kick off the holiday season on the rooftop of Midtown Forest Acres. Sprinkled with food, music and giveaways, the event is free and open to the public. Bundle up and bring the whole family for a rooftop holiday party. Enjoy holiday fare and goodies from chicken fingers to canolis.
