There will be areas for javelin, discuss, shot put and a soccer field as well. The land at Pageant Field was donated to the city by the Adams Family in 1885, and requires that the land be used for the public to enjoy.
Quincy Receives New Fire Truck from the MWRA.
The City of Quincy was given a gift from the Massachusetts Water Resources Association of a new Rescue Truck. The MWRA no longer has a need for the vehicle and with some persuasion decided to give it to the Quincy Fire Department. Quincy's old Rescue 1 is getting old and unrepairable, so Quincy welcomed the gift, which did not cost taxpayers. State Representative Ron Mariano was instrumental in getting the MWRA to give the state of the art vehicle to Quincy at no cost to the city.
