What is it with the "Graphic Word Guy"

Hello all,

Do you know Terry Chenier?

He is one funny man... he has a new book coming out and this is an example of some of the fun he has with his writing!

Hope you enjoy the posts.. I am going to share a few!

Original content by Terry Chenier

At the end of a post, they ask the question. "What does the graphic say?"

I did a similar post on this topic previously, and from the responses, I got

the answer I was looking for. Apparently spammers have word-recognition

software out there that crawls around the internet like a "spider", finds words and

attaches a spam email. So, the computer guys in Active Rain "make up" words that

the program can't recognize. That's the best I can do with my limited

computer knowledge. How am I doing so far?

So, that brings me to my complaint.

Sometimes, the graphic will say something

like sachrizma-louvisinxa. Perfectly under-standable; no "spider" is going

to pick this one up. I've gotten pretty good at word recognition. I'll type

"sach" when I see sachrizma-louvisinxa, and hit enter, but what really came up was

sachrizma-louvininxa. So, what the techies did is change one letter and

created another  word. I've seen several variations on the same word. I guess

the question I have is this. If the word is already a "non-word" and the "spiders"

can't find it anyway, why change one letter to further complicate things.

It's really difficult to spot these things late at night when you're having a Chablis

and blogging away. Get it wrong and it's back to re-doing the comment

and trying your luck on the next graphic, hopefully, a 3 letter word this time.
