I'm Grateful, yes grateful that I was born an American. Yes the word is grateful.
At thanksgiving, I have to express myself thusly, I am by definition warmly, deeply, appreciative of kindness or benefits received by the chance that I am an American by birth.
I'm grateful for the Tyranny that helped establish America as a place where I have the freedom to express myself, to choose my profession, and to worship my God.
I'm especially grateful to those who came ashore in The New World not knowing what fate had in store for them, who had to carve a living from the earth, streams and forest using their wits, strengths, and will to survive - without them this easy life we have would not exist.
I'm enormously grateful to the crafters of the Constitution, which is slowly and absurdly being whittled away to remove our liberties, for their insight into WHO makes a great nation.
I am on my knees thanking our Creator and God for His blessings along the way. How much longer can we turn from Him and still expect His blessings. I pray in the manner recommended for a sinfilled nation.
"If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
And last, but certainly not least, I am Grateful to our men and women in the armed forces of our great nation, who have served in spite of great opposition by the enemy and many times by our citizens. I am grateful for the sacrifices of the armed forces and of the spouses and children who have and are missing Mothers and Dads as I write.
Thank you God & I pray for your continued blessings on my courntry, America.
