those are amazing Gerry..........like blue and pink cotton candy swirled together!
Jeani took my word! "WOW" Gerry, these are so beautiful, I think Montana should not be just "Big Sky Country" it should be Big BEE-U-TEE-FUL SKY Country!! :-)
Andrew,
You are welcome. I agree with you. If everyone took those 10 minutes to gaze at the beautiful and unique sunset, they would feel the magic and feel even better. :)
Liz,
You described it very well. I can now think of a better title to give for this post. :)
Mary,
You always find ways to make me smile. :)
Two WOW's are better than one and I am grateful to be living in such BEE-U-TEE-FUL surroundings.
Hi Gerry - Montana has beautiful artistic skies. Hope you had a great American Thanksgiving. How was Black Friday in Red Lodge?
Gerry,
You have captured some colors I don't often see. Fantastic images. Very nice. :)
Steve
Hi Gerry - I love the panoramic shot. I just finished oohing and aaahing at Mary's Colorado mountain photos and now a Montana sunset. What a great evening of travel.
Cool colors. That one set of clouds looks like a big vortex... Helping you live your American dream...
Marc,
I did have a very good Thanksgiving in company of friends and loved ones. I did notice traffic picking up yesterday in our little town. Lots of tourists came to Red Lodge to ski as our ski mountain which opened for its 50th year on Black Friday. I am sure this resulted into more sales for the restaurants and shops in town.
Steve,
Those are fairly close to the pink and blue cotton candy colors swirled together as Liz mentioned in her comment above. Thank you for the feedback.
Jenny,
Don't you love the very inexpensive e-traveling from the comfort of your own home? :)
Thank you for visiting and the positive travel feedback. Of course, I had to go check Mary's mountains too.
Michael,
Thank you. I thought vortex too when I first saw the fascinating cloud formation and I sure got captivated by it! :)
Gerry, Those are gorgeous pictures. I can't imagine getting see it live but you did the next best!
Marchel,
Thank you. The display of these intense colors in the sky lasted a few minutes at most but it was breathtaking to see it in person. I am glad you enjoyed these pictures.
Fantasy Photos, Gerry! Absolutely stunning colors in the sky - and the clouds are sooooo beautiful :)
Debi
Debi,
Thank you for the compliments! I thought I would put my camera away on that day and just enjoy Thanksgiving. Not! :) I rushed for my camera which I had left in my car as soon as I noticed the special configuration of the clouds and stunning colors of the sky at sunset. After about 5 minutes of taking photos (I did manage to stay away from my own camera after that), I was back inside, enjoying company and back to the Thankgiving program.
WOW Gerry beautiful colors and featured at ......... CLOUDS AT ACTIVERAIN (clouds attached)
VB ;o)
Vegas Bob,
Thank you and thank you very much! :)
Where did my featured gold STAR go? Did it disappear before I got to see it? Lol
Vegas Bob,
I just knew you had to come back to have a second look. Thank you. :)
Rene,
Thank you for the positive feedback. I will take that into consideration. :)
I am looking forward to you and Rick's visit. You will have plenty of ideas of what to do and what to see and visit in Montana/Wyoming by checking out my other posts here on my blog.
The last ten minutes of any day is magic..and no two sunsets the same. Thanks for posting.
