Hi Carol ~ That's a really neat photo - it could be on a book jacket - stories for sure!

Carol, What a perfect heading to go with that photo. I always wonder what homes have been through and sometimes I believe they have feelings as well! Who knows, maybe they do. This home has probably seen a lot but looks like it would love a restoration.
I would love to spend the afternoon walking thru and around that house - pondering and imagining about the past life there
Fantastic picture Carol and I am with Carole! I firmly believe that houses have feelings, vibes, whatever you want to call them. Wow, it would be awesome to just sit in that house quietly and let it talk to you!
Elizabeth - Thank you! Maybe I will have to write a book so that I can use the photo on the cover! ;)
Carole - often times old houses/buildings 'speak' to me. I can feel their history, the failures, the accomplishments ... I do believe they have auras.
Ed - I am working on obtaining permission to actually enter the house. I am sure it's a little on the unstable side, but I have just got to know what that fireplace looks like from the inside.
Leesa - I am working on getting into that house so that it CAN talk to me. Since my first peek at the outside I have felt that there are stories there that would be more than sobering. I'll let you know what I find! :)
***Update **** I have gotten permisson to enter this property, at will, to photograph till my heart's content. As soon as I can catch a day off that's not raining I intend to spend some time in this old home. I was able to find out that it was built in the 1920s (supposedly) but I will know more accurately once I'm inside. The windows and the configuration of the chimney make me think it was a little earlier than that.
