THE KEY TO SUCCESS!

By

Fundamentally, there is a key to success passed down from generation to generation. The key to getting what you want in life, does not differ from getting the home you want, selling your home for the amount of money you want, etc.

I have found that these key points help you through a successful Real Estate transaction:

1. Develop a POSITIVE ATTITUDE!
People who have a positive attitude attract positive things into their life! As my previous blogs state, you have to visualize the event that you want to attract into your life. SEE yourself in the home that you want to purchase; SEE yourself selling your home for the amount of money that you need! BELIEVE that it will happen....and it will!!

2. Educate Yourself.
This is where I come in: A Real Estate Professional, such as myself, can help you with this. Get to know the area that you want to live in, or if you're selling a home, know who your target buyers are. I am an expert in this field, and can educate you whether you are selling or purchasing Real Estate in the Chicagoland area; help you learn the lay of the land, so to speak. The more educated you are, the more successful you will be in purchasing the home that you'll be most happy living in, or selling your home for top dollar!

3. Have Fun!
If you enjoy the experience, it won't become a chore! I LOVE selling Real Estate! I love to market properties, and I love to show homes to my clients. It's something that I enjoy everyday, because everyday is something different! I love to see the faces of my clients when they close on a home that they've fallen in love with! The more fun you have looking at properties, the better the chance that you'll keep an open mind, and open up to the possibilities. If you're not having fun, you most likely won't have success in finding a great home, or selling your home. Selling your home does not have to be difficult...think of the end result!! Which brings me to my next point:

4. Set a Goal.
Set a goal for when you want to buy or sell your home. Have a game plan! Don't wait until you HAVE to sell your home, or until your lease is running out to start looking for a home. It takes time to find the right home or the right buyer for your home! Typically, four to six months is usually the time it takes to sell a home in this market. Depending upon your area, price point, condition, etc., it could take more or less time. Selling your home at the RIGHT PRICE to begin with will dictate how fast you will sell your home. I can help you with a Free Market Analysis of your home, and I will go over my step by step marketing plan for selling your home quickly.

If you're ready to purchase a home, I can start by sending you homes within your price range and areas of interest. Every home that is available on the market within your criteria will be sent directly to your Inbox....you go through the homes that you're most interested in seeing, and we start going out to look at these homes together until you find the right one. Doing your homework, as specified above, will be invaluable in this process, and will dictate how long it will take you to find the right home! I've had people look at one or two homes, and BINGO! They've found the perfect home! And I've had people look for months and months on end until they've found the right home for them! Don't worry! I have a lot of patience, and will never pressure you into deciding until you are ready! Again....I LOVE to look at homes with you, and ultimately, I want you to be happy with the biggest decision of your life!!!

5. Be Flexible.
In Real Estate, you HAVE to be flexible to succeed and ultimately find the home that you want, or to sell your home in this market. In the negotiating process, you have to be flexible regarding price....or you won't get the deal! I have had many deals fall through due to clients who were not flexible on price....I'm not saying go beyond what your goals are! Not at all! But the key to a successful Real Estate Transaction is to be flexible within your means. Closed minded individuals (see #1 above!) will have a difficult time in the negotiating process.

You also have to be flexible with your time! Opportunities arise sometimes out of the blue, and you have to be ready! If the perfect home comes on the market in your price range, you want to be available to look at it right away, so that you can make an offer right away! If you don't, others will! And you'll potentially lose the home of your dreams! On the flip side, sellers have to be flexible in their showing availabilities. Buyers want to look, and they want to look at your home NOW! Unless you have legitimate and specific reasons for not showing your home at certain times, your home should be available to show (in showing "condition") between the hours of 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week!! Are you going to continuously have people in and out of your home during these times? No! Are they going to just drop by and take a look? No! You will have advance notice. But think of this as an investment in your future! You want to sell your home, for whatever reason, and in order to do this and be successful at it, you have to bring buyers into your home in order for them to fall in love with it and ultimately make an offer on it. What is your goal (see #4 above)? To sell your home!! So make it available to see in pristine condition. This is your investment we're talking about! Show it off to get top dollar!!

I'm sure there are other points that I'm not hitting on at the moment to be successful in buying or selling Real Estate. But these are the key points to a successful transaction. I'm here to help anytime! Just give me a call, and I'll be there!
