Lake Anna, located in Orange and Spotsylvania counties, Virginia, is one of the two largest lakes in the state.  Situated in the rural and picturesque central part of the state, Lake Anna extends 17 miles from end-to-end creating well over 200 miles of shoreline.

Residents and visitors enjoy Lake Anna for a variety of reasons.  Some like the peaceful, quite atmosphere of lake front living while others are attracted to the pleasures of boating, jet-skiing, fishing, camping, hiking, various other water sports or just relaxing on the beach.

The Baltimore / Washington DC metropolitan area is just two hours away, Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Charlottsville are all within an hour's drive.  Local attractions such as wineries, historical sites, battlefield parks, state parks, golf, antiquing, and a nearby theme park contribute to make Lake Anna a popular destination and a day-trippers delight.

The area is home to many early US presidents including George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe, and Thomas Jefferson.  The estates of these founding fathers and early presidents are all nearby and open to visitors and enthusiast of early American and Civil War history.
