Buyers Seem to be Staying in the Market Through the Holidays

It is my impression here in East Central Florida that the housing incentive, coupled with record and near record low prices per square foot are keeping buyers interested in property through the Christmas and New Year season.

I have seen no slackening in demand thus far, and tomorrow is 1 December.  I have two closings today, wrote two offers over the weekend, and will close a third deal by Friday (the bank PROMISED!).

What are your experiences out there America?

Gotta go to closings!! How good is that?

I have two short sale closings scheduled for next week (so the lender says...lol), so I find that the lenders and banks are being a little more cooperative.  Presenting another offer this week on another, so things are moving out here in CA.  Good luck.

Hi Paul:

Thanks for the feedback, we have both coasts covered.  GL on the Short Sale closings.  I've done a few already and I have to say that once the banks agree, things can move along pretty quickly.  The really slow ones seem to be the 2 mortgages with 2 lenders variety.  I had one of those as my first short sale.  It worked out, but required a lot of effort.

Jean, you were "crying broken heartedly" about lack of feedback.  I'm not an AR expert and sometimes don't get many responses on my blogs either.  However, responses have picked up a lot since I started subscribing to other blogs.  I have about 20 subscriptions and routinely comment on those blogs.  AR members reciprocate, and that's fun.  I have subscribed to your blog.  Looking forward to seeing more of your posts.  Happy Holidays.

Thank you Sallie: Good information, and I'll reciprocate.  I'm beginning to feel better about the prospects that result from the blogs and my website at point2agent.
