SNOW SCENE, ABILENE TEXAS ALONG SAYLES BOULEVARD, PRIOR YEAR.

snow Abilene previous year!

Yesterday it was peel off the jacket down to shorter sleeves, today it is bundle up to ward off the damp chill and  there is a chance of snow in the air for tonight or tomorrow. Tonight was the Chrismas parade downtown Abilene, but I decided to stay in and blog with a cup of hot chocolate!  I'm sure the arrival of Santa Claus occurred without a hitch and didn't miss me too much.  I'll just tell Santa in a blog what I want for Christmas!

On Sayles Boulevard, the oldest boulevard in Abilene, the lights of Christmas  already appear. and the house on Sayles famous for the line of cars slowing to view all its Christmas decorations and Santas is already lit up.

Historical older homes on N. 3rd just down the street from where I live have Santas, and reindeer and lights galore. The pressure is on. This may be the year I splurge for exterior lights.  One day of cooler weather and a few lights, yes, it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Abilene!

I hear we may get a bit of that snow!  I recently moved back from Phoenix and am having a difficult time ajusting to the colder temps.  I know people in the north would laugh at me...like Dallas is that cold.  I had hot chocolate today too...just seemed like the perfect thing to do!

I'm glad that no snow is in the Seattle forecast.  Didn't know that it snowed like this in Texas.  Here the weather is getting colder and sitting next to the computer with a hot drink is a pleasant thought.  My beverage of choice though is coffee.

Sonja,  Well there is a little bit of white stuff this morning, but enough to cover.

Aja,  The best thing to know about Texas, if you don't like the weather, just wait a day or sometimes not even that long.

Charles,  It doesn't snow very in Abilene ver often that why people take pictures when it sticks!
