According to last weeks UAR Presidents message, Now is The Time To Buy a New Salt Lake Home. ( actually I think he said Utah Homes, Or Homes along the Wasatch front).
When I asked Chris If he meant Salt Lake New Homes as In New Construction, he said no, he meant a new home in the context of any Home or Condominium new to the buyer. New construction or resale, it didn't matter.
The factors that make this the Ideal time to upgrade to Horse property in South Jordan, or Bluffdale, or downsize by buying a Condominium adjacent to TRAX in Murray UT, remain the same no matter what, or where.
Chris's article says that "three factors, low interest rates, affordable home prices, and meaningful Tax Credits of either $8,000 or $6,500 dollars create a unique opportunity for Utah Home buyers" .

- Home sales and Condominiums sold surged over 25% in October.
- Home/Condo Sales showed biggest increase since March of 2005.
- Sales of Condominiums and Homes along the Wasatch Front are up 7% from September.
- Tooele county led all Counties with a 58% increase, but Salt Lake, Weber, Utah, & Davis all recorded double digit gains.
- Homes listed for under $250,000 had sales increases of almost 40%.
- Salt Lake City homes are the most affordable since 2004.
