A Christmas Touch in New Milford, CT

A Christmas Touch in New Milford, CT.

Yesterday I posted about the snow arriving, let is snow, let it snow, let it snow!  We did not get what the weather people predicted here in New Milford, however I did get a few shots that brought that Christmas in Connecticut feeling to me. And I might have even found the perfect photo to make my own Christmas card this year! There is nothing like a bit of snow and an old New England barn to turn my thoughts towards the holidays.

Andrea, these pics are just like a Christmas card, very beautiful.  We are very cold here, too, not enough to snow, but it is colddddd.

We got more snow than you this time, Andrea. Would have loved to go snap pictures but a drain clog ate up my morning. And no, it wasn't snow clogging it either. ;-)

Andrea ---- I have to agree with you -- the photo of the barn and snow would be a beautiful Christmas card -- just looking at your photos make me cold.  It is 60 degrees here today.

Hi Andrea ~ You're too funny - snow = photo ops. Too much! These are beautiful.  It is a positive spin that I'll have to remember. It was beautiful around here today. That dratted snow was the nice kind that really clumps in the branches.

Gorgeous photo's, Andrea.  The first one is stunning, but I think my favorite is #2... Something about the gate makes me want to walk through and see what's on the other side. :)

We got the cold  . . . down to 32, but not a cloud . . . pity!  I like it when it snows!  Great photos as usual.  Thanks!

Ed, although it certainly is beautiful to watch, snow can really screw up a lot of things. Thank you!

Debe, thank you! I love that barn no matter what time of year it is, but the fact I got it with snow falling was perfect! Now I need to get on the stick and print out some cards.

Richard, you can count on more photos. That I can promise. I have my next surprise all planned already!

Hannah, it was a tease here too. But it was fun for the moment! Thank you!

Debi, yes, the logos are gone, I bought the program a while back. How could I not? It is so much fun. Now my problem is.... I have to make sure I have my tripod with me always. Thank you!

Good morning William, thank you so much. I appreciate your support of my work. I love it, and hope to someday get as good as some of you here in the 'rain!

Ann, I love snow too, but don't like cold anymore. But they go hand in hand.

Rita, thank you! We were so warm last week, now we are in typical winter weather mode. I wasn't ready!

Irene, sure sure sure, it was probably a snow clog. I know, the storm was a big bust. I should know better, the weather people say a big storm is coming.. we get nothing. They  don't talk about it, we get slammed.

Liz, then I have succeeded! Guess you won't be providing us with any snow photos. Thank you!

Liz B. Yes indeed, we had that kind of snow exactly! Look at it like a photo op for sure, will help ease the pain. thank you!

Jesse, if I could be half as good as you with the pictures I will be happy. So thank you. I liked that one too, for the exact reason you said. There are cows in that pasture 3 seasons a year, that is all the photo was missing was one of my friends hanging her head over the fence. They are all warm in the barn now though.

Carla, thank you! In the beginning of the season 32 seems so cold. Pretty soon it will feel like a heat wave.

Spectacular photos Andrea!

It seems that I concur with the masses that the one of the barn is the best!

Hello Andrea,

I was looking for this post. I remebered this barn photo in particular and it is so beautifully done. I am thinking to re-blog this post because the photos themselves are so wonderfully composed and finished.

And I want to thank you again for serving as one of our moderators in the group.

Hi Andrea - I also popped over after seeing the re-blog.  This would definitely get you in the spirit for Christmas.  We are still waiting for snow.  Only a dusting over the grass here.  We are going to my sister's farm for dinner next Sat. so perhaps I can sneak out and get a few shots.

They have cows but they are now in their new automated barn and they don't go out to play anymore lol.  At least they still have the old barn for photo purposes.  She is near Stratford, Ontario and they do have snow.

You need to frame these photos Andrea and give them away as Christmas presents.
