Ginger, I would love to go to Hawaii. Not so much to see the tourist traps but the volcanoes and big island!

Experience Is Your Advantage

Ginger, I think a flyover is good enough for me, it looks like the island is getting ready to blow its top. :o)

I see you are located in Oakhurst.  Over forty years ago I used to blast through Oakhurst on my way to the family cabin at Bass Lake.  In those days there was only a few homes and a few shops along the road.  After checking it out with Google maps; WOW, Oakhurst has really grown, there is even a shopping center.

Betty and John, fewer tourist traps is why we selected The Big Island for our second home.  It's still a busy place but nothing like Maui or Oahu.  AND it's big enough to spend at least a week exploring, unlike Kauai or Lanai.  The volcano area is fastinating and a must see!  Thanks for stopping and commenting.

Bill, Kileaua has been "blowing it's top" for over 25 years and we do a fly-over every 5 years of so.

Yes, Oakhurst is a drive-through place for many people on the way to Bass Lake and Yosemite.  Our "little" town can be bustling with tourist traffic in the summer and the lake has become very hazardous on the weekends in the summer.  Weekdays are still great!   AND we have TWO rather large shopping centers.  This economy has really hit the area hard but I love doing business here.

Here's a recently shot of the lake....hope it brings back memories for you.  Dream Redesigns and Home Staging Bass Lake CA
