I must admit, this will be my first Inman Connect. I should have gone last year, I know, but I talked myself out of it. Here it is a year later and I've been to three BarCamps and a few TweetUps and I'm hooked on social media. I need to go to Inman.
But January in NYC? Yes it's cold, but January is a good month for me. Bill and I were married in January 2003 and we spent our honeymoon in NYC. Now that was a cold January. Bill had only been to NYC once before so I walked him uptown and downtown, all over town. I showed him every building I had lived in and worked in and even took him to at least one favorite restaurant. (Yes, I lived in NYC before the LSSMC was even a twinkle). We froze, but we went back again in January a couple of years ago and did it all over again. Bill loves NYC so much he has been buying lottery tickets ever since. When he wins, we will be contacting Nikki Beauchamp to buy that condo she has for sale. Maybe then I'll become the Madame of the Lucky Strike Social Media Club and sit at the feet of the social media wizards as they lead us into the Promised Land? Bill has agreed to let me go to NYC without him just this once so that I can learn from the wizards and bring that knowledge back home to him or should I say his Blog? He's convinced that I'll be able to get him onto page ONE of Google when I get back. Shhh, let him believe that OK?
