Anyone who is looking into buying a home, even if you have owned a home before should review this blog by Greg Rand answering frequently asked questions surrounding the First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit.

Here are a few quick highlights but please follow the below link for more information!

  • You may be eligible for a credit if you haven't owned a home in 3 years
  • If you buy a home and receive the credit you need to live in the home for 3 years otherwise you may need to pay back part of the credit
  • Single filers must have an income of less than $125K to qualify for the credit
  • You must be in contract by April 2010 to qualify
