What's the point of real estate social media marketing if it doesn't lead you to the closing table and a commission check?
Like Jerry Maguire said "Show me the money".
The whole goal of social media marketing is to find new prospects online and convert them into real estate closings.
Unfortunately it isn't as easy as just going online and chatting away on social networks.
First you need to set up your social media profiles and systems, then find new prospects and finally convert your new "friends" into clients and closed deals.
The good news is that it can be done, but here's the huge disclaimer!
The role of social media marketing is not to close sales online. Its role is to find new clients and put you in a position to close the sale offline.
You're going to need to do your closing the old fashioned way.
Like my mentor always tells me "real estate sales are personal. They're built on personal relationships and personal relationships are built on trust and respect".
Talk to any successful real estate veteran and you will know that real estate sales are built around personal relationships and those relationships are developed offline.
It goes back to my belief that it's too hard to sell online and much easier to sell offline.
It's all fine and well to meet people online but you will do your selling offline.
Use social media to meet new prospects but move the relationship offline as soon as you identify buying or selling signals from your prospect. Move your prospect into your office, a coffee shop, your car or an open house. Shake hands and start building that personal relationship.
It's old fashion real estate sales 101.
