Holiday Fund Raiser American Legion Teton Valley Idaho Every Little bit Helps

Of the money we raised at our holiday fund raiser we gave $75.00 to the Teton Valley Idaho American Legion. I went to their meeting tonight to deliver the check and kept saying to myself "every little bit helps". Even with these confirmations I felt a little bit like I was feeding a maggot to a lion. It just didn't seem like a big enough dent.  Then I had the opportunity to hand over the check and say my piece first so I didn't have to set through their meeting. These guys were trying to be nice. I wanted to hear what was going on in their meeting, so I stayed. I am so grateful that I did, they talked about propane prices, renting their building to a church and so on. Then as we were ready to adjourn Gary remembered to tell how they had been contacted by the Alta school about acquiring flags for their classrooms. They were donating these as a service project from the American Legion. The total cost, less than we donated. Now when you put things in prospective, every little bit counts. And by the way I was honored that these guys allowed me to say the pledge of allegiance with them.
