Louisville, Colorado-Recycling and composting statistics

The latest statistics for the new City of Louisville trash, recycling and composting program shows City residents diverting 45.2% of the materials from the landfill during the month of September (2009).

 

Residents set out 27% of their materials for recycling and 18.2% of their materials for composting.  The percentages are based on weight of the materials.  Trash comprised 54.8% of the City's total weight of materials collected.
