Just recently, the City of Petaluma has launched a pilot program, in conjunction with Sonic.Net. The new mesh hotspot operates downtown Petaluma (click to view the coverage map). Within the coverage area, select the SSID, SonicNet. Cost is free to existing Sonic.net customers, $3/day for others. This is a pilot program, for a period of one year, launched to ascertain the viability of broader coverage.
