Saint Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square, Early center of New Orleans.

St. Louis Catherdal and Jackson Square

Storm clouds approach Jackson Square with the St. Louis Cathedral in the background.  This was the center of activity in New Orleans in the early years.  Since we are approaching our 300th birthday a lot has changed since that time.  People however still like public squares, parks and churches in New Orleans.

Eric:  I was fortunate enough to attend a mass at the St. Louis Cathedral during a business visit to New Orleans in the late 90's.  What a gorgeous site Jackson Square is.  I love your photo.

Hi Eric, these buildings are stunning. Thanks for sharing these with the group. Thankfully they are still there for this most important city in our country.

Eric, we love Jackson Square during the French Quarter Festival.  Even after all the pain of Katrina, we can still be thankful that the French Quarter survived.  Thanks for sharing your photo and Merry Christmas.

Eric - Really wonderful looking buildings!  I'm really enjoying about sharing photos from Rainers across the country and seeing the broad spectrum of amazing environments we live in.  It includes photos of your wonderful New Orleans, Moose from Gerry's Montana, Wolves from Debi's Colorado. . . Scenes from sea to shining sea!

Thanks for the comments. Looked like it was ready to rain. It is easy to get various shots in New Orleans.
