There is a relatively new program in Delaware called the Delaware foreclosure mediation program.
The program came about by a Superiour Court order in September. At the same time that a lender orders foreclosure notice they are required to notify homeowners they have the option of requesting mediation which basically renegotiated the mortgage terms. The new terms can not exeed 38 % of the homeowners pre tax monthly payment.
In the 3 months since it started, 5 homeowners have requested the mediation.
This is a start.
