Texas State Capitol Christmas Tree Ornaments

Texas State Capitol Christmas Tree Ornaments.  Every year I go over to Austin, Texas to get the State of Texas Capitol Christmas Tree Ornament at the Capitol Giftshop.  Below is a picture of the gift shop.  Aside from the gift shop there is a theater and some exhibits to view in this building.

Here is a picture of the capitol building.

Texas Capitol Bldg

There is no entrance fee to go inside the capitol building.  It has an incredible rotunda, and you can see all the way to the top of the dome from the granite floor with the wonderful inlays.

Here are the ornaments I got this year.  First the 2000 ornament which is the reverse side of the Texas State Seal.

Next is my favorite of the series so far, it is the 2001 Ornament, which depicts an oil painting of the original plans for the capitol building.  It also has columns and an arch.

Hey Sandra, do you have them in California?  Part of the proceeds here goes toward preserving the capitol building.  Maybe you could tell Arnold.

Glad to see that Texas still calls it "Christmas Tree" ornaments.  Nice collection.

Great idea for client closing gifts!  I don't think we have anything like this in Indiana.  Very nice!

Hi Pat, I hadn't thought about them as closing gifts, but it sure would be nice for someone moving here from out of state.  Thanks for the idea.

Hi Mirela, thanks for posting on the Traveling Rainers Group.  If I haven't joined already it sounds like something I would enjoy.  Several times a year for the past 2 years I have been going to National Parks.
