Arizona Snowbowl Scheduled to Open - Ski Flagstaff!

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty One Group / Mountain Desert

Yes Flagstaff, there is a Santa Claus - and the Arizona Snowbowl is proving it. They are scheduled to open for business on Thursday, December 17, 2009! With some generous December snowfall, the resort is ready for the skiers and snowboarders to hit the slopes - and just in time for the Holidays. Granted, this means tons of visitors will envelope the town this coming weekend and into the new year, but that's a good thing for all of our businesses who depend on our guests arrival, in hopes they will be spending cash, in addition to their snow playing! So whether you like to go fast on the groomed slopes of the Arizona Snowbowl, go at a more moderate pace at the Flagstaff Nordic Center, or perhaps just sit and slide on a plastic disk down the hills of the Snowplay area, Flagstaff has everything you need for a great winter wonderland time!

And of course, if you decide you want find a home up here - drop me a line, I'd be happy to help.

Remember - it's cooler up here, so dress warm!

Hi Patty,

Good luck with your opening day!  We've been skiing here for a few weeks but NEED SNOW!

If you have ski-minded friends and family moving north let me know.  Evergreen real estate is some of the most appealling for skiers who also need to commute to Denver.

Hmmm, I never thought Nordic was moderate!

Bob -

Thanks for the good luck wishes and good to know someone in the Denver area!

Ann -

Well, what can I say... one man's (or woman's) "moderate" choice for speed is boring to another, and terrifying to another... My preference is strapping on the snowshoes and going at a snails pace so I can take in the scenery along the way without too much concentration. Putting on any type of ski heightens the probability of ending up on my backside - which I personally shy away from!  :-)

Being in Tucson I must say I'm happy to look at snow up in the mountains.
