Brook Forest in South Evergreen has homes for sale in Jefferson County and Clear Creek County. These are mountain homes to be sure!
The history of Brook forest dates back to the days when writers and artists would use the beauty of this wonderful area as inspiration for their work. As such many of the homes in Brook Forest are smaller cabin style homes including a few one bedroom one bath homes! That said, there are also custom homes and a little bit of new construction here and there. There's an old rumor that Jesse James buried some loot in Brook Forest but I have not run across any... Yet.
One of the greatest features of Brook Forest is its proximity to the vast Arapahoe National Forest with a variety of hiking and some mountain biking trails leading in all directions including up into the Mount Evans Wilderness area (no biking). Cub Creek flows along Brook Forest Road and offers great fly fishing for small trout as well as beautiful scenery!
