Home Staging for Vancouver's Smallest Foyer

By
Home Stager with Reveal Estate Home Staging - Vancouver

Well it may not be the smallest foyer in the city but it is definitely tiny at only 3 feet wide. Home stagers know that the first impression after stepping through the entryway can make or break a sale.

Here is what buyers would have seen after opening the front door had the owners not staged the listing. What would you have done with this area?...

Pictured below is the Reveal Estate solution.

This condo received 7 offers within 2 days of being staged and now the bidding war is on!

Update: The final selling price was exactly $30,000 above the asking price. That is a increase of $58.82 per square foot!

The way you stacked those mirrors on the narrow wall looks terrific ... I can't think of a better way to address this space!   You really have a fine eye.

This is a true testament on how well staging works. What an impact when you first walk in. Great use of the mirrors in make the space appear larger. The choices you made were wonderful!

Fabulous composition! You really took a negative and completely turned it around.

PS. For a moment you had me wondering if we were neighbors. I live in the town next to America's Vancouver (as the mayor loves to call it)

Hi Jackson!

This was great work as usual!!!  I have a question for you though.  I noticed that most of your brilliant work is pretty modern looking and I was just wondering if a client has ever asked you to Stage in a more traditional or dated fashion?  That happened to me recently, and although most of my inventory is pretty modern I managed to pull something together for my clients.  I was caught off guard by this request and was hoping to pick your brain a little :)

Jackson!

What a FAB Job! You used a dark wood to work with the light walls creating a punch of color and a wow factor as you enter the small space. you grabbed the attention of the potential buyer and succeeded in bringing in the offers. Thats what staging is is all about. Your clients must be so excited, and you proved that staging really works.  Thanks for the post.

Jackson- We have the same taste. I can't seem to get enough of those weeds at IKEA. They are the best corner fillers in any home. I also have them, the same vase and similar square mirrors in my own home. You should enter to be on "Design Star" HGTV!!!! I thought that before I even read the other responses. AMAZING JOB!!!!!!

Cheryl-Anne, that paint color was not good for selling I am glad you were able to convince them of that. This biz is always a bit about compromise and a lot about budget as you know. I am not at all surprised that you were able to please everybody in the end!

Lanita, I can't tell you how many times I have used those mirrors. They paid for themselves long ago and I never have to store them since they are always in use somewhere.

Michelle, I am still laughing at "weeds". You are right about the "corner fillers" it is often difficult to choose just what corner they should go in since they work almost anywhere. Thanks for your kind words.
