Sonoran Property Inspections- To Infrared Inspect or not?

By
Home Inspector with Sonoran Property Inspections LLC

Greetings to all and we hope you have a safe holiday.

Sonoran Property Inspections is continuing to explore the possibility of offering Infrared Inspections as additional revenue stream for the company. I continue to talk to Real Estate agents and home owners to get a feel on if this would be a well received additional benefit for the end user such as the Home Owner. I realize the possible downfall for the real estate agent if this type of inspection is conducted, however as with the normal home inspection itself, if the conditions in the home are explained correctly, with professionalism and from an educational standpoint, I think it could be a real advantage to the buyer to truely " know" how his or her home will perform.  I also think Infrared can be a great service to offer after the buyer has moved in and they are needing an energy audit to become as efficient as possible from a cost effectiveness perspective.  I think that as we turn towards a "greener" form of living, there are certain things that can be done to everyones homes that don't need to cost an arm and a leg and can make a real difference in our energy bills.

I welcome your comments and thoughts as I look at this technology.

I saw you had questions about bringing infrared into your inspection business.

I would like to talk to you about this. Don't worry I am not trying to see you a camera.

I am an inspector in Gilbert that is tired of seeing people use infrared and increase their risk instead of decrease it.
