Time out to Play in The Snow - Hagerstown, Maryland

So, it's not news by now - y'all have heard we in the Northeast got good and slammed by a sweet, ol' fashioned blizzard, the kind they used to make back in the day, when I was a kid.Hagerstown Summit Avenue in the Blizzard of 2009

This weekend, I was supposed to show one client properties in Harford County and another client homes in Columbia, Maryland, and I was supposed to meet with one other couple here in Hagerstown to write-up a contract for a small lot.

But my Creator had other ideas in mind for me.

And for that I am thankful.

You see, 2009 has been an economic blizzard for me, during which I have done my best to survive by working long hours, EVERY DAY, trying to dig out - that is, trying to find new ways to build a stronger business in a very different business climate.

It took a real blizzard - the kind with lots of snow - to tell me there is a time for rest and a time to play.  And that I did.  A whole weekend, just hanging out with the family, playing with the pets, cooking a steak dinner...

I guess I am sort of cheating by blogging here for a minute, and yes, you even caught me throwing in the little SEO enhancers like Harford County, Maryland, and Columbia, Maryland, and Hagerstown, Maryland - - -

- - - but no blatent over-the-top use of these search tags, right?  Like, you didn't see me straining my prosaic flow to include tems like Baltimore Foreclosures, or Washington County Homes, or Ellicott City Rental Homes, or Hagerstown Real Estate....

...or anything like that!

No, none of that, because this weekend, I am just taking time out to spend time with my family and to enjoy the natural beauty of the snow that has enveloped my Hagerstown Home.

So, in that spirit, please enjoy this  little video I threw together yesterday, here in my Hagerstown Home, about the GREAT BLIZZARD of 2009:

As for me, well, I've still got a little digging to do, not of the metaphorical kind, but right here, in Hagerstown, at my real property.

Might even bring out the boom-box and listen to some REO Speedwagon as I dig.

So, good snow-man building!

WOW.....that's a ton of snow. I know from my patio in Sunny So California it looks very festive, but I imagine it is also causing problems. Drive safe and have a Merry Christmas.

Had to laugh David --- 3 years ago here in Denver we were fortunate to get FOUR FEET of snow, and shut down air traffic all over the country.    Maybe it IS the Creator's idea of - take a break, you don't always have to work.    I understand the economic blizzard - we had that last year!    Stay focused, keep trying, and everything will be fine!   Good luck, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks to both of you, Karen and Joan, and Happy Holidays, too!

Oh yeah, I guess I should have mentioned how much snow we got - wow, I don't really know!  I know we have all been kicking around the "2 feet of snow" figure, but, I need to get out there and measure, don't I?

Back in a bit!

Hi David - I can't believe how many U.S. States got hammered with storms.  We haven't had any snow yet.  And to think some Americans only think snow and Polar Bears when they think Canada.  I am heading to Northern Ontario for Christmas and they have lots so I will get my fix.

Enjoy - make sure you bend at the knees.

I am so glad the last storm that hit New York missed my area, I just don't look forward to shoveling.

I like the shot of you with your dog in the snow.
