Amber Alert Issued for 12 Year Old Washington Girl Posted: Thursday July 5, 2007: 12:36 PM CDT The Tacoma Police Department and the State of Washington issued the Amber Alert on Thursday morning after the girl was apparently abducted Wednesday night. Zina Linnik is described as being a 12 year old white, Ukranian female, blond hair, 4'10". 80lbs The victim was last seen wearing her hair in a ponytail. The victim was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt, pink/orange/yellow capri pants, and red flip-flop sandals. The suspect is described as being a male, Asian. No further description available. The suspect vehicle is a Gray Older Van partial plate number is 1677. If you have any information on this incident, please call 911 or contact the Tacoma at 911. |

Thanks for the post. They say speedy recovery is the answer in situations like this.
I'm in So-Cal, do you have any idea how far Amber alerts are posted? I'll be heading out of the freeway in couple of mintues, so I'll check to see if there is one for my area of Orange County.
This one is for Washington State - but did want the entire country to be alert -- as it happened approximately 18 hours ago (they can go far in that time)....plenty of time to make it to California.
Also important to send this out to all your contacts and to start this going around the country ..... you never know who may eventually get an email (a neighbor or a friend of a 'person of interest') ...

You're so right! Just as an FYI, I did not see it on our So-Cal signs a short while ago.
Looks like they only have it listed for Washington State right now .... making it even more important that we get the word out .... : )
