Sometimes one has to wonder about networking groups -- is there too much risk of limiting contact and/or either only listening or preaching to the choir?
The virtual assistant networking groups to which I belong seem to get along fine on days when I have client duties to keep me from 'hanging around'. The very idea of numbers has to keep me humble. Meanwhile, I know these resources are available if I need information. Or when I can log in and read the posts of others, I can become part of the helping resource for the ones asking questions.
I gain a great deal from my associations with the Virtual Assistants Revolution which has a great niche variety in the membership and with IREAA which is aimed exclusively at the real estate niche.
Another resource that the active VAs on this group use and which could be of value to others who haven't heard of is the Virtual Assistants Networking Association (VANA). VANA accepts donations to help support the services, plus offers virtual assistants a great tool in The Virtual Assistant's Business Start-up System (the little black dress in the pretty purple box). VA accessories/gear, chats and business improvement workshops and seminars. This week, Laura Monroe, of Creative Agent Solutions was recognized with the Virtual Business Entrepreneur Award (VAccolade)
To the VAs who have registered on Active Rain as being ready to offer support to real estate professionals, I would like to extend another invitation. VANA can be a useful resource for you to be able to offer the most to your clients or be be able to share little things you have learned. The same thing in just a little different vein was posted this morning in my other blog, Eight Twenty-two
Check VANA, IREAA and some of the other groups out. I hope you will find as much value in networking as I have.
