A different approach for 2010.

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with domoREALTY

With 2009 coming to an end, I am writing up my blue print for 2010 and I'm excited to say that this 2010 is going to be a little bit different. Instead of focusing on closed sales and multi-BILLION dollar listings I'm going to try a different approach, here's the plan:

1. Read 1-2 books per month.

2. Go to Yoga 3-4 times per week.

3. Travel to D.C. in February, Texas in March, Puerto Vallarta in August.

4. Help my little Brother get an internship here in Atlanta for the summer.

5. Be more creative in the kitchen with healthy, wholesome meals.

6. Blog 2-3 times per week about something that adds value to my audiences life.

7. Enrich my client's lives so that they will have missed me in their past and wish that they would have met me sooner.

8. Create relationships that are authentic and meaningful.

9. Be a truthful source of valuable information.

10. Create possibilities and inspiration for everyone I meet who asks for my help.

Those are my 2010 Goals... What are yours?

My lists look similar to yours.  The mental lists are the ones that get me into trouble (working too many hours)...

My written goals are about balance.  My unwritten goals are about the next level in everything I do.  I guess I'm still trying to impress my parents...

Vanessa:  This is beautifully stated and inspiring.  Thank you so much.  Having realized how boring it is to focus only on listings sold and dollar volume, I'm right there with you.

Vanessa , 2010 will be a productive year ! The next step in your process is to explain the "HOW" you are going to accomplish the 10 goals ! They're called Action Plans,5-8  things you'll do thru-out the year to attempt to make each goal occur . Picture a ladder against a wall. Your goals are the top rung. The Action Plan are all of the other rungs that if climbed will assure you reach the top rung(your 2010 goals ) Finish this step and 2010 will be life changing !!!

Great Post.  I just started my list but I have two important things.  Spend more time with my family and succeed in all goals in 2010.  Tall order.
